Atmore Shelter Build

Hunter Payne:

We’re here in Atmore, Alabama today, wrapping up, as you can see in the background, another pop construction build-out. If you don’t remember, a pop is a point of presence, a term we use for our structures that house our critical infrastructure, our network equipment, our customers, gear, fiber, and anything that fits between there.

Again, what’s key with these is we need them hardened. We need generators. We need quality HVACs that support us in times of when inclement weather or the utility grid goes down. What’s different about this one in particular is it’s larger. It’s six feet larger compared to what we’ve been doing, and the HVACs are a little bit better and more robust. They’re running a little bit better and keep us efficient in the utility game. That’s bigger now because of what we’ve all been hearing about hyperscalers, and that’s really what drove the design behind what you’re seeing behind me here. So that size, they’re always asking for more space and more power. Well, we’re able to accommodate it with this kind of solution. As always, builds like these are fueled by you, and our customer obsession will continue to drive us as we grow and build our network.
