Hello, my name is Todd Metzger. I’m the General Manager at The Barnett Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. We are a lifestyle hotel concept just relaunched by Joie de Vivre, which is a Hyatt brand. And what makes this property really special is that we program musicality into each and every inch of our property. We have two fantastic restaurants in Brutto Americano and Seaworthy, which feature artists nightly. And we also have a nightclub, Good Measure, which has artists on stage as well, where you can wine and dine yourself, and have some fun and let the good times really roll in New Orleans. I really enjoy taking care of the people that we get to welcome through our doors. We see over 34,000 hotel guests each year, and each one of those is very unique. So, it’s awesome to get to make somebody stay, and introduce them to New Orleans and the local soul that’s here.
Connectivity is the lifeblood of our hotel. Not only do our guests rely on a steady stream of internet, but our front desk and our restaurant systems are deeply rooted into having a clean connection that works consistently. Without that, we can’t operate our business and have happy guests in our hotel. Uniti has been great for us. The connectivity is exactly what we’ve ordered. Our speeds are fantastic throughout the hotel, and we run a massive hotel into the 600. We almost have a whole city block here, so it’s a lot of space to cover. And then on top of that, when we do need something, we’ve been met with awesome customer service from Uniti and can’t say enough good things about them.
I think the thing that really stands out to me with Uniti is that we’ve had no issues since I’ve been here. Operating in today’s day and age, it’s crazy to think that you wouldn’t have some type of issue or outage over our time, and especially in the City of New Orleans. So, it’s been great to work with a partner, to have somebody so reliable on our team, and just let me do my job, which is welcome people to the City of New Orleans. Something that I would say to somebody that’s looking at Uniti Fiber for a potential connectivity partner is that they are extremely reliable and they are super friendly to work with. I view them more as a partner than a vendor of the hotel, and I would recommend them to anybody who doesn’t want to worry about their internet anymore.
