The Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation has been impacting the community now for over 40 years. We do that in some really unique ways. We have an amazing partnership with the Pinellas County School System, so we help kids get back on track academically so we can prepare them for high school, so they can go on and graduate high school and become great members of society. And then we also teach kids life skills through the game of golf on our golf course with the partnership that we have with the First Tee program.
So we teach nine core values. We teach the kids about honesty, integrity, respect, sportsmanship, all the great skills that you can utilize whilst you’re playing the game of golf. So not only in the game of golf, but also in the game of life as well. So people can come out and support the foundation with time, talent, and treasure, right? So, but also by playing golf on the golf course or hitting balls at the driving range, it helps the foundation. All the proceeds come back, and we use that money to operate the programs that we have with the kids. By just coming out and playing golf, you’re helping change the lives of the kids that are coming through the programming. So connectivity is really important for the foundation, not only in partnership with the school system to make sure that we’re up and running and online with the kids so they can learn every day, but also with our functioning businesses that we have through the golf club and the driving range.
We’re operating the businesses 365 days a year, so we need to make sure that we’re up, ready, and online to be able to process transactions for our customers so we can generate that revenue so it can come back and help support the foundation. So our journey as far as connectivity goes over the years has, has been challenging in the fact that we’ve expanded over the years, and so we’ve had multiple different services coming in with different buildings, and we just haven’t had that consistency. So by switching ver to Unity, we’ve been able to streamline all those services into one service, and it’s also helped us reduce our billing and basically just be ready for the future. The installation process for us has been really awesome. I would say from day one, from the site visit to the actual switchover has been flawless on our end. Uh, we’ve really been able to not miss a beat. We’ve been able to keep things up and running and just kind of have one less thing to worry about on a day-to-day basis. So the experience so far has been tremendous.
We’ve seen our speeds increase, we’ve had no issues with service or connectivity. The customer service has been excellent. The team has basically followed through on everything that they said they were gonna do, which, which makes our lives a lot easier. If somebody was to come up to us today and ask us about other options, I would say give Unity a try. Give them a shot. Let them come and price it out and check it out, and just talk to them. Have a conversation and walk through that process, ’cause you won’t regret it. I believe that they’re gonna come in, do what they say they’re gonna do, follow through, and the overall experience will be amazing. Yeah, so once we’ve made the switch, honestly, we haven’t looked back. We haven’t had to worry about connections, the service has been there, the speed has been there, and really it’s just been one less thing for us to have to worry about, and then so we can focus on taking care of the kids and, and being there for the future for them.
